From The Oil Painting Landscape Works, I Won The Award At The National Exhibition To Talk About The Changes Of Chinese Contemporary Art Concept

National art exhibitions,reflecting the development of arts during a specific period and changes of artistic concepts,are organized by related departments in China.National Exhibition of Fine Arts have been held 12 times in total until now,but the first award for the landscape oil-paintings was the 6th.The award indicates that the landscape oil-paintings have gotten rid of margin and won their own status in fine arts.From 1984 to 2014,the landscape oil-paintings in National Exhibition of Fine Arts not only show their own relationships of heritance and innovation,but also reflect the trajectories of changes of artistic concepts in China.After getting awards in 1984,the status of landscape oil-paintings has enhanced,which shows oil painters rethought the theme determinism in the Cultural Revolution,the changes of artistic concepts,from concerning contents to concerning painting languages as well as the exploration of ontology languages contributing by return of art ontology.It shows the improvement of the landscape oil-paintings’ status in fine arts when the numbers of award-winning works increased steadily in 1990s.In this period,oil painters in China avoided consciously imitating traditional landscape oil-paintings’ subjects and aesthetic styles from western countries,the expressions elements of Chinese paintings were mixed together.In the meantime,themes and diversifications made the keynote in 1990s based on exploring oil paintings’ ontology language in Chinese context.The aesthetic values of landscape oil-paintings were widely accepted,which helps the landscape oil-paintings have a steadier status in fine arts after entering 21st century.In this period,traditional Chinese culture and spirits are contained.Under the globalization context,the landscape oil-paintings returned back to Chinese obviously,Chinese spirits are carried forward by the oil paintings’ language,becoming mainstream of times,which helps new century oil paintings make a keynote of globalization and localization.Over the 30 years oil paintings getting awards,heritance and innovation of the landscape oil-paintings reflect changes——inheritance and innovation,themes and diversification,globalization and localization——of artistic concepts since 1984 in China.The trajectories embody contemporary oil painters’ conscientious and self-confidence of Chinese traditional culture.
