Research On Women's Art Education System In The Late Qing Dynasty And The Early Republic Of China

From late Qing Dynasty to early Republic of China,the system of women art education is one of characteristics of Chinese modern education reform.Taking the system of women art education in late Qing Dynasty as the research object,the paper analyzed the historical background,reform process,educational objectives,curriculum setting and significance of the system of women art education to restore women art education system in late Qing Dynasty.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part discussed the reason and context of women education system's reform in late Qing Dynasty.Combined with the content of the system,curriculum and teaching philosophy of women art education including picture,family,music and tailor,etc,were analyzed.The second part discussed women education system's evolution from a single-track system to double-track system in early Republic of China,which laid a foundation for the latter mode of education.Teaching philosophy and curriculum setting of women art education at that time were researched too.The third part expounded great significance and positive impact of women art education system's reform in late Qing Dynasty,namely guaranteeing the women rights for education and the change in women social status.
