The Naxi Dongba Is Based On The Wording Of The Word

Despite the few kinds of orientation words in Naxi language,they are used in the Dongba manuscripts frequently.A collection and study on the orientation words in the Dongba manuscripts will benefits the study of Naxi history and Dongba culture.Simutaneously,there are a variety of expressions of orientation,which reflect some interesting usage of Dongba script.An Annotated Collection Of Naxi Dongba Manuscripts(hereinafter referred to as the Quanji)includes amounts of Dongba manuscripts,which makes it the most important material to study Dongba script.We can learn the way how Dongba scripts express the orientation by collecting the writings of orientation word and combining with the relecant informations.And such work will enrich the study on the usage of Dongba script,which supports the research on grammatology and comparative grammatology.The material contains nine orientations in the Dongba scripture,including east,west,south,north,center of the world,southeast,southwest,northeast and northwest.And the article classifys the different expressions as well as analyzes the different structures.Chapter one: Introduction.Firstly,we conduct a overview of relative study and introduce the methods and routes of our research.Then we explain the situation of the orientation words in the Dongba scripture and limit the fields for our study.Finally,we make some explanations of relavant materials and quotation’s formats.Chapter two: Research on the expression of east and west.Firstly,we analyze the relevant characters in the dictionary.Comparing with this,we analyze the variant forms in Quanji then.We discuss the different shape and the different situation of phonetic sign,and mainly analyze the simplified variant form.Chapter three: Research on the expression of south and north.Firstly,we analyze the relevant characters in the dictionary.Comparing with this,we divide the variant forms in Quanji into three kinds: ideogram,phonogram,partly indicative structures and non-single-character characters.Then,we discuss the phenomena of sharing characters,double-phonetic signs,synonymous reading and so on.Chapter four: Research on the expression central zone.Firstly,we analyze the relevant characters in the dictionary.Comparing with this,we analyze the variant forms in Quanji then.We mainly discuss the simplified variant form,contextual variant form and dialectal variant form.Chapter five: Research on the expression based on the Bage diagram.Firstly,we introduce the relationship between orientation words and Bage diagram.Then,we analyze the variant forms in Quanji which relate to animal sign,Five Elements and Bage diagram.Chapter six: Ending.There are two part in this chapter.Firstly,we interpret the Kobah script collected from the expressions of the above orientation words and analyze the characteristics of Kobah script expression.Then we analyze the expression of Chinese loanwords.
