| Around the area at the borders of Sichuan,Yunnan provinces and Tibet Autonomous Region where inhabited by a nation that believes in Dongba religion—Naxi nationality.Naxi people are used to inviting Dongba priests held ceremonies for their weddings and funerals,sickness and death,production work,house building and travel and holidays.The musical instruments are essential things in sacrificial ceremony,which has a unique meaning and cultural connotation In Dongba culture.According to the Dongba dictionary,we use An Annotated Collection of Naxi Dongba Manuscripts the basic research material to collect fonts and pronunciations in the original works,and from the point of view of form,sound and meaning to do a more comprehensive collection and research on the names of musical instruments in Dongba Manuscripts.The thesis is divided into five chapters,which from three aspects: overview,words and phrases and morphology.Chapter Ⅰ IntroductionFirstly,this part gives a comprehensive review of the history and current situation of the research of Dongba writing and musical instruments,then explains the cause to select title and the research meaning,then introduces the research materials and some explanations for this research.ChapterⅡ Overview of the Musical Instruments of Dongba ReligionThis part introduces the common instruments and then defines the names of the instruments that used in Dongba religion,and their shape and displays the show legends.In addition,to classify the musical instruments that collected according to classification standard of Tibetan Buddhist instruments and the usage in Dongba religion ceremony.Chapter Ⅲ Research on wordsThis part introduces the pronunciation of the musical instruments and analyses the modifiers before and after words.Chapter Ⅳ Research on MorphologyThis chapter,the focus of this thesis,is divided into five sections.Section One introduces the recording of the words of the musical instruments in the books.Section Two analyses the forming of the variant words,and does a separate analysis on the special kind —context variant words.Section Three analyses the phenomenon of variant pronunciation of the names of musical instruments and discusses the rules of development and evolvement.Section Four introduces other phenomena including redundancy,character sharing and font blending.Chapter Ⅴ ConclusionThis chapter is the summary of research results of previous chapters and summarizes the full thesis,we can draw relevant conclusions. |
