The Documentary "fishing Students" Creation Report

Facing the change of the mode of production and the situation of resource depletion, the fishermen in the area of Lanshan, on one hand, make their in-and-out sweat money basing on the reality tracks, but on the other hand, entrust their slim hope to the traditional folk customs, for the traditional customs carry their expectation of simple life. However, the forms of the customs that come down become simple and perfunctory. In contrast, although the older fishermen had left the boat, they still have a profound affect on the traditional folk culture of fishing and fishing chant, which only few people would resonate with. This study focuses on the fishermen and folk culture, uses the method of comprehensive research, and adopts participation,observation and record interviews to investigate the fishermen and fishing folk culture,exploring the destination of folk culture including fishing culture.Through the form of documentary, it stands in the perspective of bystanders,setting situation of the continuous loss of local fishery culture in Lanshan as the background so as to integrate the cultural situation into the personal life routine. It cuts into life through perspectives of current fishermen, old fisherman fishermen and so on other cultural successors to display the life reality of they being the representatives that are closest to the fishing folk culture. It uses the plain reality recording to show the emotional differences of local fishermen about fishery culture in different times and different environments, then to snoop in the whole, triggering thinking about the fate of the folk culture. At the same time, it is a must to think in the process of creation practice and explore the multiple writing techniques of documentaries.This thesis, basing on the finished documentaries, elaborates the creative design of this documentary from the angle of creation, combines excellent documentary works of the same kind and the related documents to form the relevant points of documentary creation practice, and makes a reflection through the gains and deficiencies in the film creation, providing reference for future practice.
