The origin of Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishing ethnic groups can be traced back to the Danka people. In the early days of the founding of New China,Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen were classified as fixed fishermen with fixed residence on land and migrant fishermen without residence. The criteria for their classification were of political significance.Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen are also known as Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen because they mostly stop at ports such as Hong Kong and Macao. At present, the meaning of Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen can be divided into broad sense and narrow sense.Generally speaking,it refers to fishermen from Hong Kong and Macao, and narrowly,it refers to fishermen from Hong Kong and Macao who join Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen association. At present, there are fewer studies on migrant fishermen in Hong Kong and Macao, and more on Danka people. The main research direction is the change of ethnic origin, historical status and livelihood mode. This research mainly carries out literature search and fieldwork through the knowledge of history, anthropology and other disciplines. On the basis of chronicles, research documents and interview records,it explores the relationship between Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen from the founding of New China to 1999,and how Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen choose and respond to a series of changes brought about by social changes. There are six chapters in this paper. It can be divided into three parts. The first part is Chapter I and Chapter II.These part describes the background and significance of the study, the literature review and research, and the related literature and research of Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen. The second part is the main part of this paper, including three chapters, including Chapter III to Chapter V,to discuss the development and evolution of Zhuhai and the changes of population and livelihood patterns of Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen in the corresponding historical period;and then, through the discussion of Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen as sensitive groups,to discuss the relationship between Zhuhai and Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen from the founding of New China to 1999.The relationshipand the corresponding changes between them are studied. The third part is the sixth chapter, which is the conclusion of this paper. It is believed that Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen have formed the characteristics of mobility, marginality and sensitivity due to the traditional living habits of boat dwelling and the discriminatory social situation in history. However, with the change of local society, the characteristics of Hong Kong and Macao migrant fishermen will gradually disappear.
