On The Shape Of The Virtual Valley Landscape Painting

Taking Xu Gu's a set of "the sketch book"(twelve pieces)now at the Sh anghai Museum as the breakthrough point,this article analyzes characteristics o f XuGu landscape painting's shape by analysis of Chinese painting skills of th e work,modeling,composition and compares other existing landscape paintings of XuGu with those of contemporary painters to explore the unique characteri stics and cause of his landscape painting style.The abundant Chinese painting skills,novel object modeling and composition are all unique embodiment of X uGu landscape painting's shape.I mainly discuss it around the following aspec ts.Do research on image,Ti Kuan and Qian Yin information of works in X u Gu's "the sketch book" and analyze life and related historical records of Xu Gu to obtain relevant information about how his painting style shaped.Deeply explore and analyze characteristics(Chinese painting skills,modelin g,composition)and cause of Xu Gu landscape painting's shape from aspects of art and culture.This article tries to begin with specific analysis of landscape painting's sh ape and illustrates with graphic analysis as well as ancient painting theory and present calligraphy and painting theory to explore art characteristics and era v alue of Xu Gu landscape painting.
