Research On Chinese Teaching In Mexican Universities

In recent years,the Chinese language teaching in Mexico has entered a new stage,and more and more Mexican colleges and universities begin to set up Chinese courses.At present,four of the five Confucius Institutes in Mexico have cooperation with local colleges and universities in running schools.Mexican colleges and universities have become very important in the promotion and development of Chinese teaching career in Mexico.During the rapid development of Chinese language teaching,there are some problems:single course,being short of Chinese books and material,the lack of teachers who have Chinese knowledge and also can speak Spanish,the "fault" of student and other issues.Based on the work experience as a Chinese teacher in Mexico,this thesis investigates the situation of Chinese teaching in Mexico by means of questionnaires、interviews、classroom observation and random interviews;analyzes the curriculum,the situation of teachers,the situation of students and the Chinese learning environment;in view of the problems of the Chinese language teaching in Mexican colleges and universities,puts forward to suggestions:enrich the types of courses,strengthen cooperation with Chinese universities and local Confucius Institutes,and the Chinese teachers should improve their level of teaching and the ability of selecting teaching materials.Hope to provide some reference and help for the teachers who will engage in teaching Chinese in Mexico.
