Ashima,a popular folk literature of the Sani people,has undergone a variety of forms of adaptation since it was compiled and published,showing a unique artistic charm and eternal literary value.The existing research on the adaptation of Ashima is more focused on the content,subject matter,characters and so on,and the results of in-depth exploration of Yi culture in the adaptation works are very limited.This thesis intends to use the musical Ashima as the research object,using the method of textual close reading,narratology,culture studies and other methods to explore the musical Ashima,explores the influence of musical drama as a new communication form on the inheritance of Ashima,analyzing how the musical Ashima interprets Sani culture in multicultural context of traditional and modern,oriental and western,the self and the other.When a Sani folk literature was put on the musical stage,how to present and interpret the Sani culture is very important.This thesis uses interdisciplinary methods for a multi-directional study on this play.This thesis relates to the modernization process of the Sani people,the context of globalization,and the ethnic identity of Sani people to investigate this play.This thesis attempts to explore the interpretation of the musical Ashima on Sani culture,and provide a new thinking about the inherit of the minority folk literature classic in the contemporary context.This thesis consists of three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part mainly combs the process of Ashima from the text collection to the adaptation of the film and television stage,and briefly introduces the research dynamics,research significance and research methods of this thesis.The main body consists of three chapters:the first chapter mainly analyzes the musical Ashima from the traditional narrative poem and the modern adaptation.The play is filled with the new era content under the traditional narrative shell,it avoids class narrative and uses love theme to cater to the public aesthetic taste.The second chapter mainly analyzes the coexistence of the elements of the oriental and the western elements in the musical Ashima,the play adds the western characters and the western elements,and sacrifice the position of the Sani culture at the expense to meet the aesthetic orientation of the western market.The third chapter mainly discusses the absence of the Sani people as a cultural subject in the musical Ashima,the play ignores the ethnic narrative,and the culture subject of Sani in the play is in a state of aphasia.The conclusion part reflects the failure of the adaptation of the musical Ashima,and puts forward the author’s own thoughts on the adaptation of the minority classic folk literature.This thesis points out that the creative subject of the play are based on the position of their own cultural logic to adapt the Sani folk literature Ashima.Although there are a large number culture symbols of Sani in the play,but the story and narrative is relatively weak,which is difficult to support the in-depth expression of Sani culture.The play caters to meet the mainstream culture and attempts to close to the western cultural aesthetic,which is easily to mislead the audiences’ cognition and understanding of Sani culture,also,it is not conducive to the effective dissemination of Sani culture. |
