Taoist (teaching) Charity Ethics And Its Value In Ideological And Moral Education

Taoist(Taoism)is one of the most important schools in Chinese traditional culture.The classics of Taoist(Taoism)has contained abundant charity ethics thought,such as “Respect Tao and value moral” as the foundation of charity ethics,“supply deficiency and loss insufficiency” as the philosophy of charity ethics,“equality love to all lives” as the concept of charity ethics,“retribution of good and evil ” as the charity motivation,and “accumulate virtue and become immortal” as the pursuit of charity.In addition,the morality book,Taoist ritual,Taoist fairy tales,paintings,poems and other literary works of art,are improtant spreading forms to educate people to learn good things.All of these have become valuable ideological resources in the development of Chinese traditional charity.Taoist(Taoism)charity ethics is different from Confucian benevolence and Buddhist Compassion,however,uses "Tao" as the core to build a unique and complete system which contains rich theory of charity.In this paper,through combing the Taoist(Taoism)charity ethics history origin,main ideas and forms of communication and other content are to explore the fit point with Taoist(Taoism)charity ethics and the moral education,to enrich the ideological and moral education on content,methods and practice.Based on the comparison with the Confucian and Buddhist charity ethics,this paper summarizes the unique cultural of the Taoist(Taoism)charity ethics.At the same time,we should use materialist dialectics to understand the reasonable ideas of Taoist(Taoism)charity ethical objectively and dialectically.Absorbing and learning from Taoist(Taoism)charity ethics of useful resources will help us to inherit and carry forward the fine traditional culture of China,cultivating and practicing the socialist core values,and enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and moral education.
