With the implementation of "the Belt and Road," strategy of Chinese Government,the heat of learning Chinese keeps going up by years around the world.Teaching Chinese as a Second Language is rapidly developing and as an indispensable part of TCSL,the teaching of Chinese characters also attracted much attention.How to teach and lean Chinese characters has been always a difficult problem in TCSL.This article is based on the surveys,tests and interview of the second-year undergraduate students who are studying in the Chinese department of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice,Italy.By analyzing the data and problem from the surveys,we come up with teaching strategies of Chinese character teaching,especially for the Chinese department of Ca' Foscari University,with the author's teaching experience and reference from the studying field.This article is divided into 6 parts:Part 1:Introduction.Describes the background and causes,significance and the research methods.Part 2:Literature review.Summarizes the researches of teaching of Chinese character in teaching Chinese as a foreign status and relevant research results and provides a theoretical basis for this article.Part 3:Chinese learning survey and error analysis of Chinese characters of Ca'Foscari University students.By adopting the methods of quantitative and qualitative research and via questionnaire research and individual interviews,this part gives a detailed analysis of the Chinese characters study of Ca' Foscari students from several aspects such as,the attitude,strategy,ability of Chinese characters,suggestion on Chinese character teaching etc.Part 4:Analysis on the factors affecting the learning of Chinese characters of students in Ca' Foscari University.Based on the statistical results of part 3,we find the Chinese characters study characteristics and problems of students as follows:students initiative and enthusiasm in learning Chinese characters is not strong,Chinese character reading ability is poor,lack of basic knowledge of Chinese characters,Chinese characters learning strategy use inappropriately.And issues of course setting and teaching methods of Chinese character.Part 5:Teaching suggestions of Chinese characters on students in Ca' Foscari University.In the fourth chapter,the author summarizes the reasons that affect students' Chinese character learning,from strengthen writing teaching,combined with the formation of Chinese characters were part of teaching,guide students to improve teaching strategies in three aspects Chinese characters put forward some targeted,suitable for Venice university students Chinese Chinese characters learning teaching strategies.Part 6:Conclusion.Summarized the main ideas,points out deficiencies in the research process.The innovation point is,the paper is based on the first-hand investigation materials of Chinese character teaching and learning,combined with the current social background,this paper analyzes the characteristics and reasons of the learning of Chinese characters in Chinese universities and other regions,This paper puts forward some suggestions for Chinese learners' learning in the new era of network technology,It makes up for the blank in the study of Chinese characters of Chinese learners in Italy at present.
