The article treats the Qin bamboo slips unearthed in Fangmatan as the main research object. The article analyzes the customs and belief of birth, the customs and belief of marriage, the customs and belief of treatment of illness, the customs and belief of funeral, the customs and belief of agricultural production, the customs and belief of trip and the customs and belief of earthwork construction of Qin people. The paper consists of the following six parts:The first part is introduction. Firstly, narrating the significance of the article that through the study of the information about social customs of Qin people to get to know the customs and beliefs of people who lived during warring states period to the Qin dynasty. Secondly, narrating the research status of the Qin bamboo slips unearthed in Fangmatan and the customs and belief of Qin people. Thirdly, narrating the research target and research methods of the article. Finally, defining the time of burying the Ml of Fangmatan and copying the Rishu of the Qin bamboo slips unearthed in Fangmatan.The second part is the customs and belief of Qin people's lifecycle. Firstly, analyzing the two methods of Qin people divine the baby's sex. One of the methods is that through reproductive time of the pregnant women to divine the baby's sex. The other method is that through the divination of throwing type of the number of sun, chen and stars to predict the baby's sex. This part discusses the social concept reflected by the two methods of divination. This part also discusses taboos of the time and date of marriage of Qin people and faith principle of these taboos. Secondly, discussing the customs and the methods of Qin people divine silk place, the ghosts and gods leading to disease, the development situation of illness. Finally, analyzing the taboos of the time and date of bury of Qin people and faith principle of these taboos, discussing the taboos of Qin people sacrifice graveyard.The third part is the customs and belief of agricultural production of Qin people. Firstly, analyzing the cultivation situation of crops and livestock of Qin people lived near the Tianshui of Gansu province. In terms of cultivation of crops, this part discusses the main types of food crop and cash crop planted by Qin people who lived in the area, analyzes relation of primary and secondary of food crops planted by Qin people and economic crops on the influence of Qin people lived at that time. In terms of cultivation of livestock, this part discusses the main types of livestock feed by Qin people and the protection of government and folk against these livestock. Secondly, this part analyzes the causes of taboo of the five cereals and the faith principle of this taboo. The part also discusses the impact by the taboo on customs and belief of agricultural production, analyzes the custom of Qin people divine the year's harvest by rain and wind and the influence of the custom to future generations.The fourth part is the customs and belief of trip of Qin people. Firstly, analyzing that Qin people will pick an auspicious day or avoid a black day to travel and discussing emphatically the relationship between "Jianchu" and the trip taboo, the trip taboo of "Xianri", the trip taboo of Heavenly Stems, the trip taboo of "Xianchihuiyue". Secondly, analyzing the reason of Qin people clear the road In case of emergency, the location of the ceremony of clearing the road, the steps included by the ceremony, the purpose and significance of the ceremony.The fifth part is the customs and belief of earthwork construction of Qin people. Firstly, analyzing the taboos of time and date of earthwork construction and the faith principle of these taboos, discussing the taboo of starting building under the influence of the five elements theory. Secondly, analyzing the nature of Zhishimen and the concept of Qin people rebuild a gate reflected by Zhishimen, discussing the influence of the concept.
