Object of study in this paper mainly comes from Kejun Yan's the Complete Articles of the Whole Ancient Times, Three Generations, Qin and Han Dynasties, Three Kingdoms and Six Dynasties. What's more, this paper also refers to Pu Zhang's the Collection of One Hundred and Three Famous Writers of Han and Wei Dynasties, and Six Dynasties and Lizhou Han's the Addendum of Articles of Three Kingdoms, Jin Dynasty and the Southern Dynasties. According to analysis, there are 321 missives need to be studied.There are three parts in introduction. The first part introduces the history of missives, such as its origin, names and functions. The second part introduces the objects, methods and purpose of study in this paper. Besides, this part also states that where are the innovations and value of this paper in missive research filed. The last part is research overview. In this part, a lot of relevant works and papers will be listed in chronological order or different studying objects.The mainbody of this paper will consist of four chapters, named as missives' literature forms, characteristics of Pian Ti, developing situation and forming factors of literature form features in the Three Kingdoms Period.The first chapter researches missives'literature forms in the Three Kingdoms Period. This chapter will make which kinds of articles belong to missives in the Three Kingdoms Period clearly. Considering the history of the Three Kingdoms Period and according to a series of contrast and analysis, literature forms named as Shang Shu, Xi Shu, Jian and Jie should be isolated from missives, while those named as Tie, Answer Someone and Respond Someone should be added into missives in the Three Kingdoms Period. In the end, there are 321 articles belongs to missives of the Three Kingdoms Period.The second chapter researches characteristics of missives'Pian Ti in the Three Kingdoms Period, which means all the constituent elements of a missive. Specifically, it contains contents, feelings and system. Through enough analysis of missives, we can find that missives of the Three Kingdoms Period are rooted in the literature soil of previous generation and then create new changes. Contents are getting more, and feelings are showing features of this time, and the system is getting stable with birth of Han dynasty.The third chapter researches missives'developing situation in the Three Kingdoms Period, which focuses on the missives'producing situation and developing trend at that time. Based on the actual condition of missives of the Three Kingdoms Period, this paper will study from that private production is getting to be the main stream of missives, personality expression is getting more attention and sense of beauty is getting importance. All the above not only presents the new changes of missives of the Three Kingdoms Period, but also reflects their shiniest literature value.The fourth chapter researches missives'influencing factors of literature form features in the Three Kingdoms Period. These factors are complex and various. This paper will divide these factors into inner and outer factors, which will be helpful to refine these factors and analyse the deep reasons.The last chapter is about the conclusion of this paper. Missives of the Three Kingdoms Period have got the prosperity and occupy very important position in the whole history of missives. According to the paper, we can find that the biggest feature of missives of the Three Kingdoms Period is transitivity, which appears in missives' literature forms, characteristics of Pian Ti and developing situation. This feature also makes missives of the Three Kingdoms Period have their own characteristics of that time.All in all, missives of the Three Kingdoms Period have great research value in literature, history and philosophy, owing to their large amount of works, wide range of contents, strong literariness and aesthetic, and unique characteristics of the times, leaving to the descendants a valuable literary wealth. However, as a key turning point of the whole developing history of missives, the ones of the Three Kingdoms Period have not been given to enough attention with many issues to explore and more detailed research.
