This article focuses on Ye and Ci,during Han to Jin period, and discuss some related issues.This dissertation is divided into Five parts:Preface.The beginning narrate the significance of this topic.On the basis of it,the next part introduces the archaeological research of Ye Ci and conclude former reseracher's problem.Lastly illustrates the basic thoughts and methods of this thesis.Chapter 1-Ye Ci Typological Analysis.This article firstly introduce the mainly discovery. Through careful analysis, the chronological series of Ye and Ci are found.Accroding to different writing habits,the Ye can be classified into two types.Two types contained A-type two side writing,B-type one side writing.Due to different Jin Ye purpose,A-type can be divided into two subtypes,Aa-type is used for greeting people,Ab-type is used to asking for an interview.In the line with different era's development the Ab-type can be classified into two equations.B-type can be divided into three substypes,Ba-type is used for asking for an interview,Bb-type is used to celebrating, Bc-type is used to presenting something to other people.likewisly, due to different era's development,both of the Ba-type and Bb type can be classified into two equations.According to different era's character,the development stage of Ye can be divided into four,which is embryonic period(the middle Xi Han dynasty), mutruation and prosperity period(the later Xi Han dynasty to the middle Dong Han dynasty),decline period(the later Dong Han dynasty to Three kingdoms),new development period (Xi Jin dynasty).The Ci can be classified into two types.Two types contained A-type two side writing,B-type one side writing.Based on difference of detail,B-type can be divided into three subtypes,Ba-type is regular Ci,Bb-type is Jue Li Ci.Bc-type usually used as burial object.Chapter 2-The usage research about different types of Ye and Ci.For Ye,it can be divided into practical object and burial object.Practical object usually used for greeting.celebrating,presenting and asking for an interview.This paper also analyze the usage of burial object's background.The Ci also can be divided into practical object and burial object.Due to different use object,practical object's writing habits may have some disparities.The function of burial object may have significance similarity to epitaph.Chapter 3-The discussion about generation and some related problems for Ye and Ci.This section describes the generation about Ye and Ci.By comparing the structrue and contents about Ye and Ci,conclude that as one kind of document Ci's source is related to submit a written statement and offer advice to a higher authority.It transferred as so called Ming Ci may refer to one kind of Ye which is used to asking for an interview.Conclusion. Finally, there is a comprehensive summary on the above studies and the remaining issues.
