The Late Qing Opera Artist Zheng Yuxi Studied

In this paper, Zheng Youxi is a quite important dramatist in the Late Qing Dynasty as the research subject. On the basis of previous studies, analyzing his works, and arranging his family and friends situation all his life of Zheng Youxi in detail. By investigating his literary creation activities of poetry, literature, words, etc. to provid support for further study on his drama creation activities. Then makes a quite systematic study on the three kinds of ChuanQi, explores the theme, the actual setting and the art system of his drama creation, and summarizes the achievements of his drama creation. The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter, the study of Zheng Youxi’s family and all his life. Arranging and researching Zheng Youxi’s life and family members in detail according to the data of Anhui province county annals, etc.in combination with his WanXueZhai corpus, WanXueZhai poetry Anthology, and pointed out the mistakes and negligence in previous studies. Focuses on the analysis of the influence on Zheng Youxi’s creation by Taiping Rebellion, as well as the life experiences of his official time in Jiangxi province.The second chapter, Zheng Youxi’s and his friends. Research on it at different times and different characters of friends. Besides the famous dramatist Xu Shanchang, Zheng Youxi has many other scholar friends, including famous litterateur Tan Xian, Zhao Zhiqian, Zhang MingKe, Wang Zongyi, Dong Pei, Li Shifen, Duanmu Cai, etc. They play different roles on creation exchanges and cultural exchanges in Zheng Youxi’s different life stages, Zheng Youxi has their different degrees of affirmation and praise. After Zheng Youxi being an official in Jiangxi, the officials in Jiangxi gradually formed an intangible cultural circle of friends, the AnXiangLou ChuanQi, which during this period has been completed.The third chapter, Zheng Youxi’s Textual research and creation of poetry, literature, words. Arrange the versions and collection of Zheng Youxi’s Textual research, and research on his creation activities of poetry, literature and words in this chapter. Focuses on investigating his poetry and words creation, analyzing the theme classification, emotional thinking, etc. Trying to find his creative thinking from Zheng Youxi’s poetry creation, in order to further study the creative of drama creation.The forth chapter, the study of Zheng Youxi’s drama creation. The drama creation of Zheng Youxi was during the decline of classical legend creation and the rise of the legend of creation of modern consciousness, which is an embarrassing and important time. This alternating excessive will inevitably occur in his drama creation. Making a systematic researchtic on his drama WuZhongRen, MuXiXiang, YanMingShuang, three kinds of ChuanQi in this chapter, from the theme of the drama, the actual setting of the drama and the art system of drama creation, including the structure of the ChuanQi, the role system, the field and desk, etc.
