The Mediating Effect Of The Quality Of Migrant Children's Friendship Between Family Function And Loneliness

As the population of migrant children is continuous increasing, more and more researchers are concerning about this group. Most of the researches on migrant children showed that their psychological condition was worse than non-migrant children, in order to learn more about the migrant children' loneliness and its influencing factors,663 effective questionnaires of Family Assessment Device (FAD),Children's Loneliness Scale(CLS) and Friendship Quality Questionnaire(FQQ) from primary schools in Nanjing province were collected, including 401 migrant children and 262 non-migrant children. Compared with non-migrant children, the thesis discusses the situation of the migrant children' loneliness, family function and friendship quality, and also studies their differences on demographic variables, then verifies the model that was put forward based on literatures.The following four conclusions are draw in this thesis:(1)Compared with the non-migrant children, there is no significantly difference on loneliness between migrant children and non-migrant children, but the non-migrant children' family function and friendship quality are better than the migrant children, the differences between them are significantly.(2)the female migrant children' loneliness is better than the males, the difference between them is significantly;and the male migrant children's family function is worse than the females on general functioning, communication and affective express, roles, problem sloving and the total function, also their differences are significantly; the non-only-child's family function is worse than only-child, the differences are significantly on general functioning, problem sloving and the total; the female' friendship quality is better than the male in each dimension except on contradiction and conflict, and the differences are significantly; the only-child' score on contradiction and conficting is higher than the non-only-child, and the difference is significantly, that means their friendship quality in this dimension is worse than the non-only-child.(3)the migrant children' family function is significantly correlative to loneliness, the better family function, the lower loneliness; and also it's significantly corrective to friendship quality, the better family function, the better friendship quality; the friendship quality is significantly corrective to loneliness, the better friendship quality, the lower loneliness;(4)the family function and friendship quality can significantly predict the loneliness;(5)the partial mediating effect that played by friendship quality between family function and loneliness is verified.
