The Symmetry Study Of The Antonyms "death" And "living"

In this paper, based on the theory of markers and three planes grammatic-al theory to "dead" and "live" this pair of antonyms as the research object, respectively from the four aspects of meaning, word formation, collocation and syntactic the symmetry were comparative studies.In terms of meaning, the author describes and compares the "dead" and "live" item number, the specific meanings and emotional color symmetry. Find the number of senses; in the specific meanings have different features and the meanings of the two pairs of sense of symmetry; emotional distinctive.In terms of word formation and analysis, the author compared the "dead" and "live" in the meaning of word formation, the number of word formation, the form of word formation, word formation ability and the frequency of use of symmetry. Found that the word "death" is better than "live", but "live" freq-uency is higher than the "dead" and so on.In collocation, this paper mainly analyzes the "death" "live" can be modif-ied and the collocation of verbs and nouns. I found that all of them can be collocated with nouns and verbs, which is symmetric; but the two asymmetric performance more prominent:differences in the nature of the nouns they modi-fy, and verb semantic bias and forms are different.In terms of syntax, the two in the sentence can be used as subject, predi-cate, object, attributive, adverbial and complement. But in the predicate, attribu-tive, adverbial and complement, there are two asymmetric phenomena.Finally, the author from two angles of the internal and external of langua-ge explores the "dead" and "live" appear symmetric and asymmetric phenomen-a:the uniqueness of antonymy, emotional color difference, marked and non marked items no marked effect; cultural psychological reasons and cognitive reasons. The conclusion for the understanding of the antonym symmetry rules and study of teaching has certain enlightening significance.
