The status and representation of the traditional Chinese Opera hasn't ever been underestimated on the stage of the Chineses nation. As for our national music, the traditional Chinese opera, regardless of its heritage and artistic nature,represents the soul and the artistic tradition of the Chinese nation.It is well known that Beking Opera, Pingju Opera,Henan Opera,Yueju Opera,Shaoxing Opera and Huangmei Opera are known as”five operas”, which has its unique style,not only on the stage of the history and in the people's heart.The Chinese Opera constitutes a beautiful artistic image in the course of history.According to incomplete statistics, in the ethnic regions of our vast land operas has about more than three hundred and sixty kinds of traditional repertoire. Except the above "Wu Yin opera", there are many small local operas and other operas, which have a rich history and tradition. Pentameter Play as the unique drama of the traditional opera,dating back 300 years, with its unique artistic expression and classical cultural heritage has been existing so far and will still go on. The drama originated in Zhangqiu, Licheng of Shandong Province, spread in Jinan,Zibo, Binzhou, Weifang and other places.In general,from Young—Ger to Guniang and to the current pentameter play,it has its long history. From the folk tune, with the very local characteristics,it is widely popular with the people and still sung so far. Because there is only one pentameter theatre as the existing professional performance team in ZiBo City. From the point of the inheritance and protection of the traditional culture or the diversification of the art, we should have a new understanding and awareness of heritage protection of the traditional opera of the pentameter play. By understanding the drama, the author does some research about the pentameter play of the local opera from its origin, history,development, evolution, singing, inheritance and so on. By passing fromartists of older generations to young people of the younger generation,we today can enjoy this traditional local opera. As a young man of younger generation, we gradually have less knowledge of opera music and has always been a complex understanding and unintelligible impression about singing of the opera music. And here I hope to do some brief discussions about this local opera,and do my best with understandable languages and forms as possible to make the local opera into more people's horizons. We should also learn the essence of music and the artistic value of the old people left by studying.
