Chinese Traditional Filial Piety And Its Contemporary Reconstruction

China has entered the aging society,home-based care is still the fundamental mode of endowment,whether the children obey filial piety or not is vital,the improvement of filial piety awareness is also a key problem.This thesis is an analysis of traditional filial piety,meanwhile to trace their “source” in Chinese traditional culture and the social role,then to combine the traditional filial piety with the actual problem in today's society,to probe into its reasonable value,and to try to build the new meaning of filial piety in contemporary China and the way to give appropriate advice,in order to provide theoretical support on endowment problem in new situation in China.According to this purpose,this paper carries out four parts of the argument,as follows:The first part of mainly expounds the social problems of endowment and filial piety which under the current social background and the research status of filial piety at home and abroad.Through the evolution of thousands years,filial piety has gradually become a very complicated ethical ideology.The second part mainly explain the traditional filial piety and analyze in depth the connotation and essence of Chinese traditional filial piety and carding the origin,formation and establishment of filial piety and the development and change of different periods,tracing back to the history of Chinese traditional filial piety from glory to the present,revealing its profound impact on all aspects of Chinese society,systematically demonstrates the historical significance of the traditional filial piety.Demonstrates from many aspects such as maintaining family,stabilizing society,flourishing culture,cultivating the patriotic feeling,and so on.The third part points the historical limitations of traditional Chinese filial piety.It demonstrates the value can not be overlooked to the contemporary society.Because filial piety is changing with the changes of family structure and social economy,we need to find a new form of filial piety that can be suitable for the contemporary society life.In the fourth part,it expounds the connotation and characteristics of the new filial piety,and combining with the special situation of our country and the increasingly severe problem of old age,we analyze the realistic significance of constructing the new filial piety in contemporary China.On this basis,the article gives the concrete way to construct the new filial piety in the contemporary Chinese society.
