The Functional Transformation Of The Chinese Public Art Museum In The New Context

Art gallery is of great significance for collection and research on human's cultural resources, it is both an important development link of cultural industries and an important role in the public art education circles. Art galleries have created tremendous economic and social benefits in various countries and gotten widespread attention. Art galleries enrich themselves through art resources and enlarge the influences in the art circles. Art gallery has become the pillar industry in some regions.The study of art gallery means to study an interdisciplinary integrated discipline which not only facilitates to promote native artistic forms but also talks with international contemporary artistic forms and elevates the competitiveness of Chinese art galleries. Nevertheless, Chinese art galleries have fallen behind those of developed countries due to theoretical shortcomings and backward systems. How to maximize the value of art gallery, how to give full play to functions of art gallery and how to transform functions of art gallery under the new situation so as to satisfy different customer demands are urgent problems to be solved and badly in need of theoretical guidance.On this basis, the author combs and summarizes researches on domestic and overseas art galleries in the perspective of functional transformation, analyzes the orientation of art gallery in existing Chinese artistic systems through referencing New Art Gallery Theory, Museum Skepticism, Institutional Theory of Art and other theories, and expounds specific performances of functional transformation of traditional art galleries in the perspective of Institutional Theory of Art, concept of art gallery and cultural industry based on the in-depth study of obstructive factors of functional transformation.The author tries to clarify the meaning of traditional art gallery, reasons and specific performances of functional transformation of art gallery. Thus, this paper has been divided into three parts.First, art gallery and traditional art gallery are defined, the position of traditional art galleries in Chinese art management systems and the relationship with other organizations are clarified, Respectively, from the top two aspects of the art management system and the organization of the traditional art museum positioning development tracks and existing problems are briefly analyzed.Second, reasons for functional transformation are discussed, including external reasons such as New Art Gallery Theory and Museum Theory, which are internal needs for the establishment of cultural Sovereignty. Moreover, objective factors are important causes of functional transformation. In the analysis of the objective factors,the following is from the system, the concept, the interests of the three angles, for the third chapter of the transformation of the functions of the statement to sort out the ideasFinally, the author discusses specific performances of functional transformation of traditional art galleries and demonstrates that traditional art galleries have developed from exhibition-oriented mode to diversified function mode from the point of art institution, concept of art gallery and cultural industrial effect of art gallery.Nowadays, traditional art galleries are exploring new-fashioned functions while perfecting the inherent functions such as collection, academy, education and exhibition. This paper is aimed at making a summary of these explorations and attempts.
