Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Shengyang Recipe In Treating Senile Postural Hypotension

Objective:Through the research ofthis subject,we will explore the effectofShengyangjuxiantang of treating the elderly patients with orthostatic hypotension,and analyze the background of the research,the method of the composition of this Chinese medicine,and the reason of the effectiveness.Methods:Draw up the clinical questionnaire for the effect of the treatment of elderly orthostatic hypotensionby Shengyangjuxiantang,draw up the composition of the Chinese medicine(taizishen20g,zhihuangqi30g,maidong10g,jiegeng10g,shengma10g,chaihu10g,sheng dihuang15g,xuanshen10g,chuanxiong10g,danshen10g).Collect the outpatients who haddiagnosedelderly orthostatic hypotension in the China-Japan hospital from December 2015 to May 2017,in total of 42 patients.We divided the patients into observation group and control group(n=21),there are 18 male cases and 3 female cases in each of the group.In the control group,the age distribute from 73 years old to 92 years old,and the average age is 80.5 years old.In the observation group,the age distribute from 79 years old to 97 years old,and the average age is 89.75 years old.The treatment of the control group is only changing the patients'lives style and give them healthy education,and the observation group patients' treatament wasadded the Shengyangjuxiantang(water decoction,twice a day).There are two period of the total treatment,each course is 14 days.when the treatment finish,evaluate the clinical symptoms of the two groups and measure the blood pressure of the patients when they lying and upright.The specific method of the evaluation are as follows.The marked improved:when the patients change their position,the systolic blood pressure down less than 10mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure fall less than 5mmHg,and the clinical symptom are relieved more than 80%.Effective improved:after the treatment,the systolic blood pressure down between 10mmHg and 20mmHg,and the diastolic blood pressure fall between 5mmHg and 10mmHg,and the clinical symptom are relieved 50%?80%.No effective ones:when the treatment finish,their systolic and diastolic blood pressure have no improvement and there clinical symptom are relieved lee than 50%.Before and after the total treatment we will test the routine blood test BNP,liver and kidney function test and ECG of the two group patients,for the evolution of the safety of the Chinese Medicine.Results:Both of the two groups are effective,but the observation group is obvious(P<0.05).In the control group,there is no marked effective cases,only 7cases are effective and 14 cases are invalid.And in the observation group,there are 6 cases are obvious effective,9 cases are effective and the other 6 cases are invalid.As the falling of the systolic blood pressure,in the control group,before the treatment;the average systolic blood pressure is 24.38 ±4.11mmHg,after the first period treatment is 23.05 ± 5.78mmHg and at the end of treatment is 21.81 ±5.06mmHg.In the observation group,before the treatment,the average systolic blood pressure is 24.14±4.09mmHg,after the first period treatment is 22.14±5.87mmHg and at the end of treatment is 16.05 ± 7.22mmHg.As the falling of the diastolic blood pressure,in the control group,before the treatment,the average diastolic blood pressure is 14.52 ±3.61mmHg,after the first period treatment is 13.86±5.53mmHg and at the end of treatment is 13.86±5.76mmHg.In the observation group,before the treatment,the average diastolic blood pressure is 14.24±3.33mmHg,after the first period treatment is 12.57± 5.02mmHg and at the end of treatment is 10.14± 5.20mmHg.As the change of theroutine blood test BNP,liver and kidney function test and ECG of the two group patients,there are no obvious differences.It means that the treatment of the elderly orthostatic hypotension useing shengyangjuxiantang is safe.Conclusion:The research shows us that,elderly OH patients after the the lives style changing and the healthy education combine whit Shengyangjuxiantang can improve the clinical symptoms significantly.Part of the patients,their blood pressure was rising obviously,their quality of life was improved also.And during the treatment of Shengyangjuxiantang,the change of theroutine blood test BNP,liver and kidney function test and ECG of the two group patients had no differences.and we had not seen another adverse reaction related to the treatment.So we can get the conclusion that the treatment of elderly OH useingShengShgjuxiantangis effective and safe,itshould be applied in clinical treatment of elderly OH patients abroadly in the future.
