ObjectiveDiabetic foot is one of the serious chronic complications of diabetes. It occurs mainly as a result of three factors, including peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and infection. It is difficult to treat.Which eventually lead to necrosis of the foot, and even amputation.Because of the low immunity and the phagocytosis of white blood cells, diabetic patients are easy to be infected and difficult to control. The therapeutic effect of Chinese medicine collapse stains therapy in the treatment of diabetic foot wound infection is significant. The emergence of NPWT technology also provides support for chronic wound healing. But NPWT does not apply to diabetic foot infection wounds.NPWTi is an improvement in NPWT.The effect of NPWTi on the infection of diabetic foot is significant. We decide to research the clinical efficacy of negative pressure wound therapy with Chinese medicine liquid in the treatment of diabetic infection wound(DFI).MethodsSixty patients with DFI were randomly divided into experimental group(n=30)and control group(n=30).The xperimental group were treated with negative pressure wound therapy with Chinese medicine liquid and the other was treated with negative pressure wound therapy with saline. After 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment, the wound area,Procalcitonin(PCT)and symptom score of the two groups were statistically analyzed.ResultsThe effect of the test group was better than that of the control group at 2 weeks. The PCT results were significantly different however the wound area and local symptom score between the two groups was no significant difference in(P>0.05).At 4 weeks after treatment, the wound area and the area of the test group were significantly higher than those in the control group The wounds symptom score were significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionNegative pressure wound therapy with Chinese medicine liquid can control DFI wound infection, promote wound healing, improve clinical symptoms. The effect is better than negative pressure wound therapy with saline.
