Clinical Observation Of Ganzhi Liquid In The Treatment Of Sjogren's Syndrome

Sjogren's syndrome(SS)is a kind of chronic systemic autoimmune diseases,mainly involving the exocrine glands,resulting in impaired function.To dry mouth,dry eyes and other clinical manifestations such as multiple organ involvement.Western Medicine on the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease are not very clear.Although the treatment means and methods are diverse,but most of the symptomatic treatment based,no special treatment.Hydroxychloroquine is the basic drugs for the treatment of SS,but the effect of relieving mouth dryness symptoms is weak.TCM treatment of SS traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and clinical symptoms of improvement,there are incomparable advantages of Western medicine.My instructor sum up many years of clinical experience,according to the theory of "body fluid and blood sharing the same origin","Qi making blood growth",the fact is:in SS patients,approximately50%of them suffered frominflammation of salivary gland,and almost half of them have the symptom of swelling.Some patients mighthave beentreated with Chinese medicine of surgical sore,my tutor developed Gan Zao Liquid by supplementing qi and nourishing Yin drugs addition reducing phlegm medicine,for further evaluation of its efficacy and safety,we performed the following experiment.Objective:Comparing with hydroxychloroquine treatment,objective evaluation of the efficacy and safety of Gan Zao Liquid in the treatment of SS.To observe the changes of serum levels of immunoglobulin,TNF-a and VCAM-1 in patients with SS,and to verify the effect of the immune regulation.Methods:According to the simple random,non-blind,controlled clinical trial principle,40 cases were selected in accordance with the diagnosis of Sjogren's syndrome,and the dialectical method of traditional Chinese medicine in accordance with the standard of deficiency of yin and fluid consumptio of the patients.40 cases of patients were randomly divided into combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment group and Western medicine group,there were 20 cases in each group.Two groups were applied hydroxychloroquine oral therapy,on the basis of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the treatment group received Gan Zao Liquid to take orally the treatment,treatment for 3 months.Results:Total effective rate is 90%for the treatment group,and for the western medicine group it was 60%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Western medicine group in the treatment group after treatment is better than western medicine treatment group,the difference was statistically significantbetween groups(P<0.01).The difference of IgG value between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).In Western and Western medicine treatment group TNF-?,VCAM-1 value and before treatment comparison,the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).Insafety,two groups bothhave good security,no adverse reaction.Conclusion:Gan Zao Liquid can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of the patiens of SS,especially in ease dry mouth,dry eye symptoms significantly.In the aspect of immunosuppression,it's also clinically effective,thusproving this treatment is a safe way for Sjogren's syndrome.
