Jiyin Xuanyang Method For The Treatment Of Edema And Yin And Yang Cases

Background:Through the thousands of years of development,there are rich experience in the treatment of edema disease of traditional Chinese medicine.When treats edema,TCM has holistic view,treatment based on syndrome differentiation,and in general,TCM think the lung,spleen and kidney are intimately linked with edema.However,with the development of social environment and the progress of modern medical technology,edema disease is becoming complicated.Edema is more and more chronic or recurrent.Because of the application of diuretics,glucocorticoids and warm medicine,Yin and Yang are deficient.There is mutual rooting of Yin-Yang,Yang deficiency involving Yin,and Yin deficiency involving Yang.Deficiency of both Yin and Yang is a important cause of disease,expercially in the edema.The method of JiYin-XuanYang conforms to the pathogenesis,it can open a new way of edema disease of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.Objective:To study and evaluate the clinical efficacy in improving the symptoms of edema and security of JiYin-XuanYang method in the treatment of edema with deficiency of both Yin and Yang.To provide foudation for further controlled studies and provide the certain theory basis for further clinical study.Methods:According to inclusion and exclusion criteria to choose patients.On the basis of foundation treatment to treat patients in JiYin decoction and XuanYang decoction,let them eat this decoction one dose a day and divide 2 times in the morning and evening.The change of weight,the severity of edema and symptoms integral will be record before and after treatment.A course of treatment will sustains 4 weeks and then to comparison and analysis the score of scales between before and after treatment.Results:The traditional Chinese medicine symptoms total scores and each single TCM symptoms scores of 30 cases patients with edema symptoms between before and after treatment have significant difference(p<0.05),and after 2 weeks,there are 66.7%patients'systoms total scores between efficacy evaluation index of 0?70%(not covered 0),and after 4 weeks,there are 88.67%patients' systoms total scores between efficacy evaluation index of 0?70%(not covered 0),which means that the method of JiYin-XuanYang can effectively improve the symptoms of edema with deficiency of both Yin and Yang.In 30 cases of edema with Yin and Yang deficiency,after treatment of 2 weeks and 4 weeks,the body weight,recovery time of pitting edema and the lower limb segmentation circumference are improved,and the difference have significant(P<0.05),it's suggested that he method of JiYin-XuanYang has effect on the improvement of the edema.There is not apparent adverse drug reactions found during the study.Conclusion:JiYin-XuanYang method can effectively improve the symptoms of edema in the treatment of edema with deficiency of both Yin and Yang,This is a new way of edema disease of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
