Objective:The dual evidence methods of combination relic with literature were used to research the white lines in the lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguanshan, including named the meridians, summarized the course of meridians and explored the academic value.Methods:1. Collecting the informations about lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguanshan.2. Establishing the ancient literature and figure database and the modern literature database based on collecting and sorting the data related to the course of meridian as widely as possible.3. Taking the lacquer figure with meridian marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Shuangbaoshan, the meridian literature in bamboo slips of medicine unearthed in Laoguanshan, the medicine relic or literature in the Mawangdui silk books, the Zhangjiashan bamboo slips of Han dynasty and Canon of Medicine as main reference, investigating the differences and similarities between the white lines on the medial side of lacquer figure and course of six Yin meridian to explore the characteristics and academic value of the meridian line marked on the lacquer figure of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguanshan.Results:1.149 integrated and detailed photographs about the lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguanshan have been got.2. Furthermore,34 photographs about the lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguanshan have been drawn,156 ancient literatures and 323 modern articles related to the meridians have been got. Database related the meridian relic and literature has been established.3.29 meridian lines in total were found after researching on the lacquer figure with meridian-points marked, including 3 horizontal meridian lines and 26 longitudinal meridian lines. The longitudinal meridian lines on arms and legs were twelve regular meridians.Conclusion:1. The lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguanshan is the earliest and most intact lacquer figure with meridian-points marked found in China so far.2. The longitudinal lines in the medial side of lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguansha were similar to the course of six Yin meridians, have similarities and differences with the meridian system in the lacquer figure with meridian marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Shuangbaoshan, the Mawangdui silk books, the Zhangjiashan bamboo slips of Han dynasty.3. To compare with the other relics and literatures, the lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguansha is different at course of meridians, the number of the embranchment of meridians and the intersection of the meridians. The meridians in lacquer figure with meridian-points marked of the Han dynasty unearthed in Laoguansha provide important historical data for the studying on development and evolution of the theory of meridians.
