Objective:Collecting all the randomized controlled trials of the needle-knife treatment of myofascial pain syndrome and referencing Handbook of system evaluation, the treatment by needle-knife of myofascial pain syndrome efficacy and safety is to be evaluated objectively with the methods of systematic review. Methods:Referencing Handbook of system evaluation, formulating the crireria of inclusion and exclusion to serch all the randomized controlled trials on VIP, CNKI, PubMed and so on in computer after the literature screening, data extraction, quality evaluation, meta analysis, grade rating objectively evaluation the curative effect of needle knife in the treatment of myofascitis. Results:A total of 13 studies were included in this systematic review. Among them, 11 studies were RCTs,2 studies were Q-RCTs. The total sample size was 876 cases, of which the experimental group was 444 cases, the control group was 432 cases. The total effective rate and cure rate were both summarized in the 13 articles, with meta analysis. The results showed that the effect of the needle-knife therapy or needle-knife combined with other therapy on myofascitis treatment is better than that of non needle knife therapy. The GRADE rating of total effective rate and cure rate of was:Low! Recommended rating was weak recommendation:that means the intervention is likely to benefit more than the disadvantages, but not sure. There were 7 literatures summarizing the VAS scores of the experimental group and control group before and after treatment, and excluding 4 high heterogeneous literatures, meta analysis was carried out..The result showed that the curative effect of needle-knife or needle-knife combined with other therapy in treating myofascitis in alleviating pain is better than the control group. VAS pain score GRADE rating:Moderate! Recommended intensity was the weak recommendation:that means the intervention is likely to outweigh the risks. There were 3 literatures summarizing recurrence rate. Meta analysis results showed that the recurrence rate of needle-knife therapy in the treatment of Myofasciitis was relatively lower. The GRADE rating of trecurrence rate was:Moderate. The funnel plots including 13 studies, but the funnel plot was asymmetric, indicating that the possibility of publication bias was existed. Of the 13 studies included in this systematic review, there are 3 articles describing the security incidents, and the other 10 papers have not described the security incidents. So the safety of needle-knife in the treatment of this disease is reliable or not still needing higher quality studies to confirm. Conclusion:Clinical evidence indicates that treatment of needle-knife in myofascitis can obviously alleviate the muscle pain of waist, numbness and other symptoms, and can certainly improve functional activities. But tthe quantity of the including reseaches in this system evaluation were less, and the methodological quality of these studies is low, lacking of foreign language literatures (needle-knife spreading scope is limited), lacking of grey literatures.Argument strength is not enough.
