The research on patient satisfaction has a late start in China, and most patient satisfaction survey scales are adapted from foreign classic scales, resulting in low feasibility of survey and poor authenticity of results. In the evaluation indicator system for modern hospital management, patient satisfaction is an important measure for judging treatment outcomes and medical service quality. Therefore, the provision of guidance to medical organizations on how to improve service quality in a targeted manner on the basis of the research on patient satisfaction will be of great significance for hospital construction.In this paper, Z Center Hospital is taken as the research object and actual work and theoretical research of the hospital is combined to analyze the main problems existing in current patient satisfaction measurement in China as well as the causes of such problems; the concept of patient satisfaction and its determinants are defined. A comprehensive evaluation system for patient satisfaction is established, satisfaction evaluation indicators selected, and patient satisfaction questionnaire designed, to conduct a comprehensive survey on patient satisfaction about Z Center Hospital. The correlations between satisfaction indicators and overall satisfaction and the regression thereof were analyzed using probabilistic method, and a regression equation for overall satisfaction was finally established according to the regression result. According to the research findings, among the patient satisfaction evaluation indicators, service attitude, diagnosis and treatment technologies and nursing service can significantly predict the overall satisfaction (p<0.05), whereas medical environment, price and window service cannot significantly predict the overall satisfaction (p>0.05). Service attitude and diagnosis and treatment technologies have a significant and positive effect in predicting overall satisfaction, followed by nursing service. These suggest that higher satisfaction with service attitude, diagnosis and treatment technologies and nursing service results in higher overall satisfaction. Lastly, strategic suggestions are provided for improving patient satisfaction with the hospital through analysis from such aspects as improving the internal environmental of the hospital, enhancing the construction of medical ethics, raising the level of diagnosis and treatment technologies, optimizing the patient treatment process in the hospital, strengthening personnel training and learning, improving the level of information network, and enhancing medical humanism, strengthening doctor-patient communication and improving hospital management measures.Typical problems of China's public hospitals in the provision of medical services have been found through this research. For these problems, a series of strategic suggestions for improving the service quality of public hospitals are provided in this paper in order to improve the satisfaction of patients or even the whole society, which is very important for creating a stable society and promoting economic development.
