and theoretical basis and have important significance.MethodsFirst,Using the classical ancient books and the methods of documentary,carry on research progress of TCM about "Zhiweibing".This study consists of three parts,the first.understanding of ancient physicians about "Zhiweibing";the second,the connotation research and clinical application of modern medicine about "Zhiweibing";the third,the meaning and clinical application of "Zhiweibing".Then summarize and refine Yan's clinical experience in treating rheumatic diseases based on "Zhiweibing".ResultYan attachs a great importance to the classical theory of TCM's,especially "Zhiweibing"thought,guiding role of clinical practice,in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatism.The results of the study are the following five aspects:1.Prevention before disease onset:Prevent and use tonifying kidney strengthening bone early;In the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases,Yan use the goods of tonifying kidney strengthening bone earlily,prevent intractable symptoms as joint deformation,bone damage,muscle contraction and tired of flesh.2.Prevention from exacerbating:Treat earlily with illness,to prevent an aggravation;Yan make much account of actively carrying out related physical sign examination and early drug use for prevention at the beginning of the disease of the treatment of patients with AS.3.Prevention of relapse after healing:tonify Kidney Stengthen bone,Harmonize Ying and Wei;In the remission phase of the treatment of OA,Yan pays attention to tonifying Kidney,Stengthening
