Background:End-stage renal failure(ESRD)patients,the effective therapy is maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Due to various factors caused the increases of interdialytic weight(IDWG),especially thirsty factors, the MHD incidence of complications in patients increase with a correspondingthreatin the patient’s life. Thus easing the thirsty symptom, limiting interdialytic water intake, reducing IDWG increases would be imperative. Traditional Chinese medicine for thetreatment of hemodialysis patients symptoms and the intervent ionofcomplications,as the research findingsin recent yearshas obvious advantages,what are recognized and valuedby the majority of patientswith very high development prospect.Objective:The issue by giving MHD patients with single herbs FructusMumefor oral administration, observing in the contraction of thirst,drinking water and IDWG at the interval oforal drug in patients,comparing before and after each index and syndromes inpatients,will be to research theintervention of dark plumsabout IDWG in MHD patients,and to sum up the change rule of TCM syndromes, for traditional Chinese medicine in hemodialysis therapy of chronic renal failure uremia providing clinical evidence.Methods:30cases of MHD patients were given single herbs FructusMumefor oral administration, by early,middle,Iatein2and oral time greater than1hours. Withel inical observationperiod of20days,we mainly write downduring the oral administration before and after9times’the hemodialysis’ dry weight, duration of dialysis,weight before and after dialysis,ultrafiltration volume,and use questionnaires to record clinical symptoms,thirsty, drinking water level and the physical and chemical indicators,which according to clinical symptoms to be dialectical typing,to generalizate MHD patients’distribution regularity of TCM syndromes withresearching in the contraction between thirst and weight gain, by calculating the urea reduction rate(UUR),normalized protein catabolic rate (nPCR),urea clearance index(Kt/V)to evaluate dialysis adequacy. After the end of clinical observation,through statistical comparison of patients’before and after index,we evaluate the curative effects of Chinese herbal medicine FructusMume on MHD patients with IDWG and effects of intervention on different TCM.Conclusion:Giving single herbs FructusMumefor oral administration can improve thirsty symptoms of MHD patients, reduce drinking and IDWG,and influence the Qi and yin deficiency type andLiver and kidney yin deficiency type’curative effect remarkably.
