Objective:to observe the expression of MyoD and myogenin in constant exotropia, research the role of MyoD and myogenin in the morphological changes of constant exotropia. Methods:to purchas fifteen kittens(3-4weeks old) from the city, weinghing about0.35kg, male or female. They were dicided into control guroups and experimental groups. The experemental groups were divided into three groups called A, B, C group. The experiment groups weared the prisms, and the control group received no treatment. Medial rectus muscles were obtained from the control and experiment group.Cross sections were obtained and staind by HE methods for observing the changes and measuring the number of myofibers and cross-sectional area of Myofibers, and the average optical desity of MyoD and Myogenin. Results:To observe the medial rectus muscle fiber number, size and shape, there was no signifigence. A group and the control:the average optical desity of MyoD (0.030±0.032?0.029±0.0052), and the Myogenin (0.035±0.0027?0.036±0.0022), there was no significant difference (P>0.05); B group and the control:the average optical desity of MyoD (0.030±0.0045?0.025±0.0007), and the Myogenin(0.031±0.0035?0.036±0.0036), there was significant difference (P<0.05); C group and the control:the average optical desity of MyoD (0.021±0.0016?0.033±0.0039), and the Myogenin(0.023±0.0028?0.037±0.0016), there was significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusin:MyoD and Myogenin expression decresed may be releted with the the ocuurrence of strabismus. With the extension of the strabismus course, the two factor expression was decresed, and may be associated with the evolution of the strabismus.
