Preliminary Study On Artificial Feed Of Armor Larvae

Lucanus belongs to Insect classes,Coleopetera section and Lucanidae subject.In the early 17 th century,stag beetle was popular as a kind of valuable collection at that time.Almost 30 years ago,it was popular in Japan and Taiwan as a kind of pet.However,the rearing of larvae has been always a significant issue at present.There are limited researchers about nutrition physiology and artificial diet of the rearing of stag beetle larva.While in our country,the researches of its nutrition physiology is nearly blank.It has just started the researches of stag beetle’s artificial diet.The paper filtrates inoculation varieties of stag beetle artificial diet basing on its native environment and nutritional requirement.Through experiments,it acquires relatively ideal prescription of artificial diet of stag beetle larva.The results are shown as follows:1.It carries out researches of the nutritional biology of stage beetle larva in autumn and winter,collects the stage beetle larva samples of Shanghai,Lin An in Zhe Jiang and other regions and then analyzes them.The results shows that stage beetle larva is a saprophagous animal,which is fond of mushroom,rainbow conk,and other fungus rotten woods.2.The experiments filtrates the cultures of stag beetle larva’s artificial diet.It selects rainbow conk,which has the obvious dynamiting effect of the 6 groups of stag beetle larva from 4 kinds of representative cultures.It proves that rainbow conks is the best inoculating culture of stag beetle larva’s artificial diet.3.Basing on the ingredient proportion of traditional rainbow conk planting and the previous experiment data,it optimizes the culture medium of stage beetle artificial diet.Considering the last jagged wood inoculating culture as the control group,it finally confirms the planting ingredient proportion of bits of wood,wheat bran,cane sugar,calcium sulfate and silkworm chrysalis meal appropriating for stag beetle larva,that is 90% bits of wood,7% wheat bran,1% cane sugar,1% calcium sulfate and 1% silkworm chrysalis meal.
