Rediscovery Of Traditional Materials

Kaki-shibu(Persimmon lacquer)was widely used in East Asian included of China inhistory,but nowadays this material has been passed into oblivion.To work out what wasdriving those phenomenon,I studied through literature researches,fieldwork and materialexperiment,explains the history of traditional use and production,property,industrystatus and etc.And on this basis,this paper discusses the Kaki-shibu(Persimmon lacquer)in Functional Value and cultural value of moder life,trying to find way out for theorientation of Kaki-shibu(Persimmon lacquer).Based upon This Research,explores howto better integrate the traditional natural materials which declined in industrial societywith modern life.
