Belt conveyor is a type of continuous transport equipment in modern production.With the features of large transport volume,long haul distance,small energy consumption,low freight,convenience for loading and unloading,adaption to bulk transportation and so forth,it has been widely applied in coal,mining,port,power,metallurgy,chemicals and other fields.Faults may occur on a belt conveyor in case of improper installation and adjustment,inaccurate feeding point,long-term service under harsh conditions,etc.Therefore,an effective belt conveyor monitoring system is required for achieving the detection and controlling for its working environment and state.However,the majority of belt conveyor monitoring systems in the current market have various problems,such as incomplete detection and automatic control function,absence or imperfection of voice communication function,slow data communication speed,complex system wiring and high maintenance cost.In order to solve the problems of existing belt conveyor monitoring systems,a study aiming at the internet telephone for Ethernet-based belt conveyor monitoring systems was conducted in this thesis.Firstly,a design scheme of internet telephone for Ethernet-based belt conveyor monitoring systems was proposed.Next,an internet telephone was developed,where STM32F407 was adopted to devise the internet telephone's hardware circuit,including the main processor module,detection and control interface module,speech codec module,Ethernet control module,display module,etc.;meanwhile,an internet telephone software was designed on the development platform of MDK5 that realizes the network transmission protocol,call control protocol and G.726 speech compression codec algorithm,and a host computer management software was compiled with C#language.Finally,an experimental platform for the internet telephone of a belt conveyor monitoring system was established for performing experiments.According to the experiment results,the internet telephone can access to system monitoring terminals as well as sensors and control equipment along the belt conveyor,so as to realize the functions of one-to-one and one-to-many amplifying call,full-duplex amplifying communication,amplifying broadcast and amplifying alarm along the belt conveyor,detection on methane,deviation,smoke and environment temperature along the belt conveyor,and control signal transmission of spraying devices and automatic deviation rectifiers.The internet telephone developed during this research is able to be applied for Ethernet-based belt conveyor monitoring systems.On one hand,it addresses the issue that independent wiring is necessary owing to that the analog signal adopted by existing telephones along belt conveyors has a short transmission distance and is susceptible to disturbance.On the other hand,it satisfies the communication requirement of belt conveyor monitoring systems,with the advantages of simple wiring,improvement of connection quality,high reliability and convenience.
