Pedestrian Crossing Mode And Its Benefit Research At The Intersection Of Urban Roads

As the key point of urban road,intersection is not only the distribution point of the traffic flow but also the traffic capacity and safety bottleneck of the whole urban road network,and most of the daily traffic congestion is due to the lack of capacity at the intersection.With social development,the greater the amount of motor vehicles exist,the more serious the conflict between pedestrian and cars is,and resulting in decreased urban transport efficiency and increased traffic safety risks.The pattern of pedestrian crossing also the key factor of city slow traffic system.The effectiveness at intersection of pedestrian and cars is contradictory,and how to solve this problem and find the balance is a very urgent problem.Based on this,this paper try to construct the evaluation index system and establish the evaluation model of the mode and the benefit of pedestrian crossing then discuss the estimation of model-related indicators.The main work and research results are as follows:(1)The first step is to refer relevant information then introduced the present research situation of pedestrian crossing problem at home and abroad and analyzed several of the most common pedestrian crossing patterns.(2)Then,introduced the comprehensive evaluation method that used in this paper,which is called analytic hierarchy process.Based on it,established the index system of pedestrian crossing mode and it's benefit,and the weight of each factor of criterion layer and index layer is determined.(3)The next step is to build a hierarchical model about pedestrian crossing and it's benefit,and gives the details of the method of estimating each indicators of different pedestrian crossing modes,which could be used as the reference data of different crossing mode weight systems.(4)At last,choose a typical urban road intersection then use the analyze method that introduced before to evaluate,then find the most comprehensive pedestrian crossing mode.
