Public art intervention in urban commercial space has become an inevitable trend in the context of urbanization.Public art in urban commercial space is a typical art and representative public art.It is a linked between business field,public art works and consumers.For the dissemination of urban culture,to create a business atmosphere and cause the interaction and promote consumption have a catalytic role.It can forming a system of commercial space public art research by combing the different commercial forms and the public art in the commercial environment.Visual symbols is a medium for understanding things.By studying the visual symbols of public art in urban commercial space,it is possible to establish a connection between public art and symbols,to restore the essence of visual symbols through concrete works and phenomena of public art,and to think about the public art works and phenomena through the essence of symbols.In the crossover study,we can explore the law,essence and existing problems which are not easily to found in the study of public art.It is helpful to provide theoretical resources and ways of thinking for public art enlightenment and promote the integration of public art into commerce,interaction with the environment,have a positive dialogue between the customers.For urban commercial space and public art resources have "harmonious" "symbiotic"situation.This paper has taken the data analyzes and the theory of inductive research methoed.Based on the theory of visual symbol's guidance,have systermatized analysis and interpretation for urban commercial sapce.The development of public space in China we have diversified development.Multi-level development and unbalance development situation.In the application of visual symbols,there are problems of transplanting,homogenizing and stylizing,and solving such problems depends on commercial Space for their precise positioning and the establishment of public art ideology.The visual symbol of public art has multiple ways of expressing emotions.It is only by following the principle of heterogeneity design on the precise positioning of commercial space and introducing the new concept of visual symbol in order to achieve the perfect fusion of artistic resources and commercial space,To achieve commercial space to maximize the value of public art resources,making art better serve the urban business environment.
