With the improvement of people's living standards,progress of science and technology and acceleration of urbanization process,many old factories have been transformed into cultural and creative industry parks.With the continuous rise of these cultural and creative industry parks,more and more people are paying attention to the whole landscape planning and construction of the parks.As an important part of the parks,urban furniture played an irreplaceable role and the planning and design of urban furniture has also achieved much focus.As a purveyor,urban furniture has its own functions with invisible city culture and civilization embodied.The value and significance of industrial symbols are studied in urban furniture design in cultural and creative industry parks,using methods of literature research,fieldwork and case study.The design case and developing status are analyzed of urban furniture in 798,New York SOHO and Kunming cultural and creative industry park,providing reference for the design of urban furniture in Caiyunli project.Caiyunli project is researched,and valuable materials are extracted and analyzed,and the background and characteristics are analyzed in-depth in Caiyunli cultural and creative industry park.The design principles and methods of urban furniture in the cultural and creative industry park are used to extract the representative industrial symbols that are reused in the design of urban furniture.The feasibility plan accorded with the characteristics of the park and development pattern of urban furniture are proposed and specific program is designed.With industrial symbols as a starting point to present urban furniture,the connotation of industrial culture is refined and reprocessed.A unique urban furniture style is formed,bringing a new visual sense.The industrial characteristics are injected into the landscape of the environment in cultural and creative industry parks,providing a new way for the urban furniture construction in Caiyunli and reference for urban furniture developing of cultural and creative industry parks.The significance of its existence lies in the continuation of Kunming's industrial history,reflecting industrial culture,respecting original styles of old factories,protecting old factories' historical relics,adding new vitality for cultural and creative industry parks for further.It has to be emphasized that the cultural and creative industry parks mentioned refer to those transformed from old factories,of which the urban furniture is researched and designed.
