Humanized Design Of Urban Furniture

In the tide of urbanization, the level of urban furniture design is relatively lags behind in our country. So it plays a very important role whether in the new city construction or the old city reconstruction. Urban furniture is an important part of urban design, which is the important space elements of improving the urban space quality and convenience of city life. It is well-know that urban furniture is important in the modern city. It could become the local features of the region (such as a telephone booth in London), as well as solve everyday problems by design. So in this research, taking the South Central Street in Taiyuan city as the example, the principles of humanization design are explored from the perspective of humanization. The existing status and the distribution of urban furniture design of the South Central Street in Taiyuan city are analyzed through the investigation and understanding of local culture and residents need, as well as the size of each urban furniture, structural features and material and so on. And the practical discusses are carried out from the angle of humanization.
