In February 2016 the CPC Central Committee issued a document,it is recommended that the new community is not set up a wall in Beijing,in order to increase the density of the road network in Beijing,thereby easing traffic pressure.This one,immediately by public opposition,safety,cost,management and other issues have become everyone in reason.The deep reason is that the author thinks that it is influenced by the concept of "boundary" space in China"."Wall",as to achieve this effect of the physical structure of the building,start i ng from the construct i on of the Great Wall Qin Shihuang,has gradually become the core of the"boundary" type space.The Imperial Palace,garden,courtyard,military compound,closed area,closed schools,all reflect the construction principle of "boundary" as the core.In a sense,the "wall"(border)shape the values of the people.This concept has undergone a different historical period after the transformation,but also has a close relationship with power.Wall,as the initial function of the building structure,gradually evolved into a powerful symbol of power continues to date.In this paper,the "wall" in the city as a clue,analysis of its impact on the cultural,social,political and other aspects of the reasons for the many contradictions in the current city to find the answer.
