With the promotion of natural gas vehicle, the number of CNG vehicles owned by people has been increasing year by year as it is cheap and convenient. Accordingly the demand for CNG stations is also increasing steadily. However, as the development of urban construction speeds up, safety distance shrinks gradually and the population density around many CNG stations increases. This means potential effect of CNG stations accident is growing which makes its safety issue a focus of public concern. Therefore, it is of great importance practically to evaluate safety status of CNG stations.In this paper, analysis on CNG station accident statistics and safety inspection results of some stations are carried out on the basis of station processes and equipment combination. Relavent standards and spercifications are taken into account as well. In the end, a more comprehensive risk assessment system that better fits CNG station is established.In order to reduce the influence of the final evaluation results of the expert subjective factors in the process of the grade index system, a cloud model theory was introduced in this paper, which scale correction program is compiled. The evaluation index system of risk was used to grade each index, which could reduce the influence of the expert subjective factors. Entropy weight was used to established CNG risk evaluation index system. The scoring weight revised was multiplied, which could draw a CNG stations evaluation score and ultimately determine the risk level of CNG LPG stations.The standard CNG station is taken as an examplein this paper, setting up an evaluation system composed of four aspects:equipment, environment, safety management, leakage impact index. Then carries on the risk evaluation of Leshan CNGstations, as medium risk evaluation results, the main risk exists in the station equipment use fixed number of year is too long, combustible gas leak detection alarm failure, such as complicated external environment and safety management is not perfect. The evaluation result is in accordance with site operation.
