With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there are more and more product categories appear in the market and always change frequently, which inevitably lead to a number of unsustainable problems, such as ecological pollution, waste of resources and equality differences. In the end of the last century, the idea of product design focused on the appearance of form, emphasized the variety of product shape, almost replaced the innovation of technology and design. This long-term unsustainable design behavior is constantly eroding our product market. As a design method that emphasizes ecology, quality and social well-being, sustainable design promotes the co-ordination, coexistence and dynamic development of social, environmental and economic through a series of innovative strategies and design principles. It will lead the "stale" product design concept in the 21st century to achieve a breakthrough transformation. As a pathetic group that needs social care, the elderly can get help on the level of social moral and national policy. But in fact, the elderly did not get proper respect in the product market. Most of the products for older people in the market have same functionality and structure, they are lack of innovation and neglect the practical needs of the elderly. The product market not only lack of product design that focus on the elderly, but also has many elderly products as a gimmick of shoddy. They have uneven quality and use packaging and advertisement to attract buyers, but in fact useless. This lack of standardized management of the elderly market will not only hinder social progress, but also laid a potential social contradictions for the future of the aging society. In the current market for elderly products, the way to solve the physiological difficulties of the elderly lower limb is still stuck in the stage that through walker products, such products are often based on the products for the disabled, or even make use of disabled products directly. The purpose of this research is to get the sustainable design strategy with the core of usability through theoretical arrangement and design practice, so as to greatly enhance the quality needed by elderly walker products, to solve the problem that no reference for the usability design of elderly walker products. In this paper, in the use of usability design process, to analyze and research the physiological characteristics of the elderly and the need characteristics of the walker products, and help product design gaps. Use the usability design principles to help practicing the design of elderly walker products, and to verify the feasibility of using usability design methods to design elderly walker products. Finally, the topic through in-depth understanding of the special habits of the elderly and the characteristics of walkers to design walker products that meet the needs of the elderly, and to maximize satisfaction of their daily life. In the theoretical study put forward the principle of usability design, and provide a practical and effective design reference for future elderly product design. To get elderly walker products with high quality through the practice of the design, and set an example for the elderly products industry in China.
