| Inthispaper,tenquinolinederivatives,fivekindsof9-alkyl-3-(2-quinolin)viny-carbazole containing one quinoline ring with asymmetryπconjugated structure and five kinds of 9-alkyl-3,6-bis(2-(quinolin)vinyl)-carbazole containing two quinoline rings with symmetryπconjugated structure(alkyl:ethyl,n-butyl,n-hexyl,n-octyl and benzyl)have been synthesized by the Vilsmeier reaction of formylation and Knoevenagel condensation using carbazole and 2-methyl-quinoline as raw materials.In addition to the asymmetry derivative substituent by ethyl,the others were new compounds.Their structures were characterized by the measurements of elemental analyses,IR,~1H NMR and MS.The single-photon optical properties of the quinoline derivatives in DMF solution have been measured including the electronic absorption spectrum,fluorescence spectrum,fluorescence quantum yield and fluorescence lifetime.The energy levels of frontier orbital of the quinoline derivatives were calculated and the characteristics of the electronic transition were analysised by using Gaussian 03 packets.The two-photon fluorescence excited 120 fs pulse at 800nm Ti:sapphire laser operating at 1 kHz repetition rate was observed for the quinoline derivatives in PMMA films.Their nonlinear two-photon absorption properties were studied by Z-scan system with femtosecond laser at 800 nm,the two-photon absorption coefficient was measured and the two-photon absorption cross section was calculated.We successfully achieved the two-photon three-dimensional seven-layer optical information storage with new material as a recording medium.It shows the important application in the three-dimensional ultra-high density data storage for this type of new materials. |
