As countries around the world continue to exploit the oil resources, the shallow oil has been mined. With the development of drilling technology, people have to the direction of deep well, ultra deep well drilling, the deeper drilling, the well bore quality requirements, so the higher the casing cementing method has become an important means to improve the quality of well bore. Casing device is the key equipment in the whole casing process. There are many defects in the conventional casing device, such as Casing rotary button operation is complex, torque is not easy to accurately control, hanging in the hole of the casing string can't rotate, it can't circulate the mud at any time, casing operation efficiency is not low, and there is also a great security risk. Therefore, it is especially important to design a casing device with high performance, high efficiency and high performance. With the wide application of the top drive device in the world, the high success rate and high efficiency of the top drive casing device has become a hot spot of domestic and foreign oil companies. This paper design a set of high efficiency, high performance of the top drive casing device, according to South gate field of Sichuan basin gas field, Through the design of the original program to the device manufacturing, and finally to the field test verification, the specific content have been completed as the following:(1) The following mechanism and technological method have been determined to design for top drive casing device:designing the slip mechanism for transferring torque and enhancing loading, studying the relation among torque, enhance loading and hydraulic pressure, designing the seal mechanism to circulate mud and cementing pressure, the selection and optimum design of connecting thread, material and heat treatment.(2) Some questions have been put up with for slip mandrel, slip, drive cylinder, when they are been manufactured. Using high quality alloy steel quenched and tempered as slip mandrel material, using high quality steel as slip material, at the same time, protecting the non-friction surface, in order to ensure that the toughness of the material, the technology of nickel phosphorus amorphous coating was used to deal with the complex surface.(3) The theoretical calculation and analysis of the important parts of the top drive casing device is carried out, and the design parameters of the simple parts of the casing device are calculated. By finite element simulation, it acquires the stress distribution of piston scheme one and scheme two under 600kN and 1000kN,compare with scheme one, scheme two has much large stress under same load, increasing 11.84%, so the final choice is scheme one. The optimal design for the slip mandrel improves the safe coefficient. By combining the slip complex load in practical work, through the finite element analysis the distribution of stress under axial load, circumferential load and torque load, the effect of the axial load is the maximum; torque load is second, circumferential load is low.(4) All kinds of tests have been done on the top drive casing device, such as parts test, industrial prototype test and field test, according with the strict standards from parts test to machine field test, The test results show that the device can meet the casing process requirement of South gate field of Sichuan basin gas field.This top drive casing device improves the efficiency, reduces the cost due to device failure, reduces the drilling cost, greatly improves the quality of the casing in South gate field of Sichuan basin gas field and improves the quality of well cementation, laying foundation for the next process.
