Subsea pipeline connector is one of the core equipment used in deepwater pipe connection of the subsea wellhead and christmas tree system.According to the requirements of working performance of the three kinds of subsea pipe connector,the paper developed a new device that can realize the function of testing the pipe connector.The design of the testing device of subsea pipeline connector and the determine of the test programs is of great significance for a series development of the pipeline connector in the future.Through the research of the standard including GB/T 22513,ISO 13628,API SEPC 17 D,ISO 13679,ISO 21329,and API Spec 6A of domestic and foreign subsea pipeline connector’s development,processing and testing,the temperature and pressure test of subsea pipeline connector is divided into hydrostatic pressure test,high pressure cabie test and temperature and pressure composite test,and the requirements and the procedures of the three tests were determined.According to the difference of the temperature and pressure parameters in different testing process or in different stages,9 work modes including 4 temperature testing work modes and 5 pressure test work modes were designed.The 5 parts of oil supply,pressure,holding pressure,pressure control and pressure relief are in the pressure test sections,and the heating,cooling and holding temperature are in the temperature test sections.The raising of the work mode made the test procedures more organized.According to the requirements of the subject of subsea pipeline connector temperature and pressure testing device,the basic functions and key technical indicators of the test device were decided,and the overall scheme of the subsea pipeline connector temperature and pressure testing device including the overall structure scheme,the overall hydraulic system scheme and the overall control system shceme were further designed.The detailed design of the testing device was made based on the overall structural design including heat preservation box,heater,refrigeration mechanism,liquid nitrogen storage tank and hydraulic components,and the time that the heating stage and cooling stage need was calculated.According to the general structure design of subsea pipeline connector temperature and pressure testing device,the three-dimensional model of testing device has been completed by using Siemens NX8.0,and the mechanical strength carrying capacity of the base also been analysed by finite element analysis software,and then the rationality and reliability of the structure has been verified.The temperature variation process of subsea pipeline connector be calculated and analysed.Therefore,the heating and cooling process,rate time curve of heatexchanger be obtained,and the heating and cooling time to the testing temperature also be obtained.The subsea pipeline connector temperature and pressure testing device has been manufactured according to the general structure design,and the hydrostatic pressure test,high-pressure chamber test and temperature pressure composite test of subsea pipeline connector were carried by the guidance of test procedures and process.In addition,the 500 meters underwater sea trials of two types of subsea pipeline connector was made,and the testing data analysis showed that the subsea pipeline connector testing device meet the design requirements of this project.
