Experiment In Material Teaching

The research object of this paper is the Nanjing University of art and design courses in basic teaching materials. Material foundation course is Nanjing University of art and design University of national fine course- one of the five classes of design basis, the teaching content is through teaching and practice, to know the status of materials in the history of civilization and design, from multiple angles, such as science and technology, design innovation, function and structure, artistic form, funny games understand aspects such as material, and compare their performance in the concept connotation and the different style. With practice, let students understand the material in the design of the value and role in the design method. Through diversified subject training, on the material of the learning experience in a performance characteristics and expression way, understanding the concept of the material and the scope, materials involved in the form and the relationship between the different material properties, the material texture formed by different psychological feelings and visual experience, learn to material experiment of the game. Material foundation courses for each major design direction of the study to lay a good foundation, let the students design works better in the future the selection and use of material, make their future design work to achieve more ideal effect.The article is divided into four parts: the first part is the basic teaching material design review and summary of the history of, respectively, enumerates the predecessors "Bauhaus" and in this paper, the main body of nanjing University of art and design institute of the course material, in the process of overview, in the form of a corresponding; The second part is the concept of "material" the teaching subject exploration and thinking, from three angles of collected materials to a basic understanding of teaching material three main performance, namely, the physical properties of the material itself characteristics, external form of art performance, and internal concept of psychological performance; The third part is a basic course of Nanjing University of art and design of material teaching subjects case type analysis and summary; The fourth part is based on the experimental subject continue to explore the possibility of teaching materials and design a new project.This paper hope through to the Nanjing University of art and design teaching materials in the basic course of study, clarify such course teaching content development, including the teaching resources and methods, the classification of the material performance and the operation steps, subject design and arrangement, and many other aspects of analysis, with reference to previous research achievements of others choose several groups of specific instances of teaching subjects, cause thinking from the case analysis, to design a set of experimental projects provide theoretical basis and operational support.
