A Comparative Study On Nesting Site Selection And Nest Characteristics Of Three Species Of Birds In Zhangguangcai Lingdong

In order to explore the regularity of nest site selection of commom birds in ZhangGuangCaiLing(Turchis hortulorum?Muscicapa latirostris and Turdus pallidus )and do further research on the behavior and ecological environment of the three kinds of birds, Basic datas and experience are accumulated to provide important scientific basis for bird protection, bird habitat conservation and conservation planning. The author do research on he nest site selection of the three species of Turdus hortulorum Sclater, Muscicapa latirostris Raffles,and Turdus pallidus Gmelin in ZhangGuangCaiLing in 2015. 9 and 2016.9. The main research content includes:the three species of birds nest site selection characteristic research and comparative study of three species of birds nest characteristics. The study focus on observation of three species of birds living areas and recorded the heights of nests built by birds, what's more, focused on trees of nests built by birds, the diameter of the nest tree, the height of the nest tree, the direction of the nest , the nest height, Canopy density of upon the nest, Canopy density of below the nest, tree density, average tree height, shrub density and height, Distance of nest trees to trails,Distance of nest trees to water resources,Distance of nest trees to residential area, etc.The study found that the three kinds of birds Turdus hortulorum Sclater,Muscicapa latirostris Raffles and Turdus pallidus Gmelin in choosing nest sites tended to find the tall and thick trees that were not easy to find, and the nesting level was relatively high. This obviously showed that three species of birds in the nest site selection focused on the concealment factor; in comparison of outside diameter of the birds' nests (Turdus hortulorum Sclater, Muscicapa latirostris Raffles and Turdus pallidus Gmelin) ,they showed extremely obvious differences, however, three species of birds' nest in nesting, there is no obvious difference in the inner diameter. This showed that Muscicapa latirostris Raffles when nesting, paid more attention to the thickness of the nest compared with Turdus hortulorum Sclater and Turdus pallidus Gmelin; Turdus pallidus Gmelin were nesting with a plastic rope outside their nest ,this showed that Turdus pallidus Gmelin nesting habitat was disturbed by human being.
