Measurement Of Zhejiang Provincal Manufacturing Structure Upgrading And Its Impact On Economic Growth

Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous advancement of the industrialization process,the manufacturing industry has developed rapidly.However,Zhejiang Province is a small province.The lack of resources such as land,energy,raw materials and talents seriously constrains the development of manufacturing industry in Zhejiang.Especially in recent years,with the increase of labor cost,market competition and environmental pollution cost,economic advantage is weakening,its root cause,the unreasonable manufacturing industry structure is an important reason.In view of this,promoting the structural upgrading of the manufacturing sector to promote economic development in Zhejiang is of great significance.So what is the status quo of the upgrading of the manufacturing structure,structural upgrading of the key factors?The Impact of Zhejiang's Manufacturing Upgrading on Zhejiang' s Economic Growth?This paper mainly from the following aspects to study.First of all,according to the OECD classification of manufacturing industry in Zhejiang Province is divided into high-end,mid-range and low-end three types of technology industries,comparative analysis of manufacturing industries and three types of value-added industries,employees and labor productivity,a preliminary understanding of Zhejiang Province manufacturing Industry development status.Secondly,according to the connotation and concrete expression of the upgrading of manufacturing structure,this paper constructs the evaluation index system of Zhejiang manufacturing structure upgrading and collects the actual data to measure the value of manufacturing structure in Zhejiang Province.Finally,using the 1994-2014 data,the impulse response function and the variance decomposition based on the covariate constrained VAR model are used to study the effect of the structural upgrading on the economic development of Zhejiang.The results show that the overall development of Zhejiang manufacturing industry is in good shape,and the added value and labor productivity of various industries and three types of industries have been increasing year by year.According to the result of the comprehensive evaluation,the structure value of Zhejiang's manufacturing industry keeps increasing,and the manufacturing structure upgrading of Zhejiang Province is advancing continuously,and the production efficiency is the key factor of structural upgrading.Finally,it is found that there is a mutual promotion between the structural upgrading of the manufacturing industry and the economic growth,and the long-term effect of structural upgrading on economic growth is more significant than short-term.
