China is a great exporter in the area of textile clothing, ranking the first in the world for more than ten years. However, China's clothing export enterprises are facing a deteriorating situation in the recent years, caused by the appreciation of RMB, rising labor cost and trade barriers, which makes these enterprises suffer. It deserves our attention and study on how to adjust the strategy in order to survive and develop in a series of difficulties and crisis, especially for those small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose strength is not strong and the ability to guard against risks is weak but outnumber in groups.The paper, taking DT commercial company—a private foreign trade enterprise as a study object, analyzed its management environment and the advantages and disadvantages using the method of SWOT analysis. And it discussed about the development trend and available strategy pattern for small-and medium-sized enterprises in terms of the value chain.This paper is divided into five parts. The study background, purpose, and the main study method of this paper will be introduced in the first part. Next, on the base of analyzing the macro environment and micro environment of foreign trade, the paper, according to SWOT, in terms of the value chain, analyzed and concluded the situation, the advantages and disadvantages, the opportunities and challenges of DT commercial company. And some available suggestions for DT commercial company will be provided as well. It may provide some ideas for reference to other enterprises facing the same situation.
