Energy is the material basis of human life and socio-economic development. Since the reform and opening up, with the development of China's economy, the demand for energy is growing, the consumption of energy is increasing. From 1990 to 2013, the total energy consumption has increased from 987.03 million tons of standard coal to 3.75 billion tons of standard coal, which is accounting for 21.9% of total world energy consumption, China has become the largest energy consumption country in the world. Faced with such intense energy shortages, we should correctly understand the relationship among energy consumption, economic growth and industrial structure, to promote healthy and sustainable economic growth. This paper explores the relationship among energy consumption, economic growth and industrial structure of China's various areas through the method of literature analysis, theoretical analysis and empirical analysis. First, it introduces the research background and significance of the study, and analysis on the status of relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, industrial structure at home and abroad. Second, it's is the theoretical analysis on the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, industrial structure. Third, it's mainly about the descriptive statistical analysis of the present situation of the energy consumption, economic growth and industrial structure from 1977 to 2012. Again, the chapter is mainly about the empirical analysis of the relationship of energy consumption, economic growth and industrial structure through establishing the measurement model. Then, it establishes a panel VAR model to explore the dynamic influence of energy consumption, economic growth and industrial structure through impulse response function method and variance decomposition method. Finally, on the basis of the above research, we come to the conclusion and forward three policy suggestions. Results of the study showed that:there is a positive impact on the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, but due to the different structure of each province, its role showed a more complex spatial distribution. The relationship between energy consumption and industrial structure exists the same positive impact, but there is not significantly different regions on the elasticity effects but there are some differences in the intercept. According to the dynamic study of PVAR model, the influence of energy consumption and economic growth is unequalled. And there are also long-term positive effect between energy consumption and industrial structure, but the impact of each industry is different.
