The citizeniation of new generation migrant workers is related to theharmony of labor relations and the stability of society. Compared to the old generation,the new generation migrant workers are considered to have a stronger willingness ofcitizenization, with the characteristic of the "three higher and one lower", in higher levelof education, higher expect, higher pursuit for the material and spiritual and lowertolerance to hard work. To verify the cognition, a questionnaire survey of more than600 migrant workers and nearly 100 copies of the interviews have done.Attempting to analyze the citizenization willingness and influence mechanisms of newgeneration migrant workers.The survey result shows that the cognition for the new generation migrantworker,the "three higher and one lower" is accurate basically, but their willingnessof settling in the city is not strong. The willingness of migrant workers is affectedby three factors, the internal, the external and the interaction. The new generationmigrant workers is not satisfied with society and have difficulty in establishing a newsocial network in city, which is not conducive to the formation of citizenizationwillingness.The judgment of satisfaction and social relations is affected by the publicpolicies. Fundamental policies, such as the one on wages, housing, socialsecurity, form the survival situation and possible choices for migrant workers. Due tothe lack of policy supply, the new generation migrant workers can not make theeffective choices. Even their real needs may be covered or distorted. Thus there formsthe phenomenon that personal flows frequently while the society is solid. To solve theproblem, China needs to introduce Tiebout mechanism. In this way, local governmentsmay have the motivation to promote the equalization of public services and improve thesituation of migrant workers. |
