Research On Airline Company's Operation Management Efficiency Evaluation And Improvement Strategies

Civil aviation industry is the backbone industry in the development of our economy. It is also a strategic and innovative industry. Since 2005, the total volume of China's airfreight has been the world's second place, just behind America. Even China's civil aviation industry has obtained great achievement, Chinese airline industry still has a long way to go compared with the well developed countries. One of the most important cause is that Chinese airlines has a relatively bas performance on operation management efficiency. So, in order to obtain and sustain a advantageous position in the face of the fierce market competition and a sustainable and healthy development, Chinese airline companies have to improve their operation management efficiency continuously. Under this back ground, this paper chose airline company's operation management efficiency as the subject, and hoping to provide reference for the improvement of Chinese airline company's operation management efficiency.Firstly, this paper summarized domestic and international existing research about airline company's operation management efficiency. Based on the comparison of the operation management efficiency between Chinese and American airline industry, this paper found and analyzed common problems in the operation management of Chinese airline companies.Secondly, according to the production operation characteristics of airline company, this paper analyzed the influence factors of airline company's operation management efficiency.And on the basis of that, this paper proposed airline company's operation management efficiency evaluation index system. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the index, the appropriate comprehensive evaluation method was selected.Again, this paper used the method proposed above to study the operation management efficiency of China's 3 main airline companies, and verified the scientific and feasibility of the evaluation index system method proposed above.Finally, based on the influence factors of airline company's operation management efficiency and the problem in the operation management of Chinese airline companies,suggestions about improving Chinese airline company's operation management efficiency were proposed.
